fdfs In 1982 Erick von Hoffmann was born in San Bernardino California. The marjority of his childhood was spent growing up in a rural Adirondack town in northern New York. Early inspiration in art came from watching his father paint local landscape scenes. In 2000, he enrolled at Plattsburgh State University and went on to graduate with a B.F.A. in 2004. Erick continued his education in 2008 at the University of Massachusetts at Dartmouth. In 2010 he graduated with a M.F.A. degree in painting and was invited back to Plattsburgh State University as an Adjunct Lecturer. Currently Erick works a full time job in manufacturing, teaches part-time, and paints on a regular basis. He lives in Argyle New York with his wife and two children.
